Shirabe Jisho is an iPhone app that provides a straightforward, feature-rich dictionary for converting between Japanese and English and vice versa. Blazej Stanek created the full version of this program, and is available for purchase. Over 730,000 Japanese names, places, and institutions, and over 147,000 example phrases with translations may all be found in this app, which can be found in the Education & Reference section of the app's store.
The Shirabe Jisho app's recognition algorithm can accommodate incorrect stroke order and tiny mistakes, allowing users to enter characters using handwriting recognition using kanji and kana. The software previews potential matches when many characters with similar appearances are detected. Kanji radical search, wildcard search, and searches in kanji, kana, and romaji are also available within the program. In addition to kanji lists organized by JLPT level and school grade, Shirabe Jisho features several word lists that are further organized according to subject, grammatical function, JLPT level, and more.
